Drove to East Wittering in the dark and waited for dawn. You could hear small waves under the stars and by 6:45 first bit of light was showing peaky waves. Paddled out on surfboard in the gloom, only me with MANY others behind me. (50 surfers by 8am!!)

2-3 foot clean waves with offshore breeze. The sunrise was red, purple, gold before the sun itself appeared. Cracking 3 hour session, had about 30 waves. High tide got trickier with bigger back wash take-offs and shorebreak rides.
